Tactical Role

Anti-tank infantry is a highly specialized unit designed to combat light and medium armored vehicles, including exoskeletons. Armed with handheld grenade launchers, they deal 52 points of damage to light armor and 36 points to medium armor. Their main feature is critical damage when attacking from the rear, making them essential for flanking maneuvers.

Application Features

  • Slowness: Anti-tank infantry movement speed is 25% lower than average infantry due to the weight of grenade launchers, which limits their retreat maneuverability.
  • Target Suppression: Despite low accuracy against manpower, grenade hits temporarily knock the enemy down, disrupting aimed fire (even heroes).
  • Engineering Impact: Effectively destroy shelters, barbed wire, and bunkers, clearing the way for allied forces.

Veteran Improvements

With increasing experience, anti-tank infantry become a formidable force:

  • First Level: Increased rate of fire and resistance to suppression.
  • Second Level: Health increase to withstand heavy weapon hits and damage boost (up to 68 points against light armor).

Tactical Recommendations

  • Group Use: A single squad cannot destroy even a light mech. Two squads, acting together, neutralize most targets, including heavy vehicles when attacking from the rear.
  • Late Game: In the later stages of the battle, anti-tank infantry become key support against mechs, especially in combination with other anti-armor weapons.

Weaknesses

  • Vulnerability to Infantry: Lose in close combat to grenadiers and riflemen.
  • Counterattack Risk: Slowness makes them an easy target for fast vehicles, such as reconnaissance mechs.
