Polanian Medic
Polanian Medic - Unit of Republic of Polania. The squad is armed with ordinary rifles. The main task of medics is to restore the health of other infantry units.
Historical Context
Polanian medics continue the traditions of sanitary services formed in the Armed Forces of Polania even before the Great War. In the 1900s, the Polish army paid special attention to mobile medical care on the battlefield.
Tactical Role
Medics are a support unit designed to treat and restore infantry, exoskeletons and gun crews directly on the front line. Armed with personal weapons, they do not have significant damage, but their key function is to maintain the combat effectiveness of allied units. Restoring units is cheaper than repurchasing them, which is critical in the early stages of the game. Medics can repair exoskeletons and guns, extending their lifespan in prolonged battles.
Veteran Improvements
With increasing experience, medics gain access to unique abilities:
- Medical Tent (Level 1): Deploys a temporary field hospital that automatically restores the health of allied units. It is recommended to place it behind cover (e.g., destroyed buildings) to protect against artillery.
- Improved First Aid Kit (Level 2): Reduces treatment time and increases the amount of health restored per session.
Weaknesses
- Vulnerability in Combat: Low damage and lack of specialized weapons make medics an easy target for enemy infantry and vehicles.
- Tactical Dependence: For effective operation, medics require cover — without the support of riflemen or anti-tank units, they are quickly taken out of action.
Strategic Significance
Despite being niche, Polanian medics play a key role in prolonged operations. Their ability to preserve combat units on the front line is especially valuable in scenarios with limited resources or when defending strategic points. In campaigns, they often become essential for completing survival tasks, and in multiplayer modes, they are an element of "quiet" economic warfare, exhausting the enemy.
