| A unit of Saxon Empire. Armed with flamethrowers. Effective against infantry units. | |
Saxon Flamethrower - a specialized infantry unit of the Saxon Empire equipped with flamethrowers for combating infantry and fortifications.
Equipment
Flamethrower operators wear special equipment including:
- Protective rubber fire-resistant suit
- Heavy rubber gloves
- Gas mask for protection against smoke and fuel vapors
- Assault armor and helmet
- Special flamethrower weapon with elegant design, featuring a front handle and long nozzle
Combat Usage
Flamethrower operators specialize in suppressing fortified positions and clearing defensive structures. Their flame jet deals damage to infantry groups in a cone-shaped sector, making them essential for assaulting fortified points
Strengths
The main advantage of flamethrower operators lies in their ability to ignore cover and building protection. Their attacks are effective against:
- Infantry in buildings
- Entrenched enemies
- Defensive structures
Weaknesses
The unit has several significant disadvantages:
- Low movement speed
- Limited range
- Long reload time
- Vulnerability to mechanized units
- Ineffectiveness against light armor
- Enemy’s ability to evade attacks by moving quickly
Update History
2024: In the current version of the game, the Saxon Empire cannot directly train flamethrower operators in barracks. However, any infantryman can become a flamethrower operator by picking up equipment from a killed flamethrower operator or from an ammo crate.
