Combat Usage
The main purpose of the machine gun is to counter infantry units and light mechanized forces. The machine gun quickly suppresses infantry concentrations within 2 seconds, dealing 15 damage per hit. The machine gun does not require reloading, only a short interval between bursts, and can fire at close range, ignoring melee engagement. Infantry risks being killed when near the machine gun.
When firing at mechs, it deals 5 damage per bullet, allowing for significant damage accumulation: up to 75 damage to light mechs and up to 30 to heavy mechs. At the veteran level, effectiveness significantly increases: damage to light mechs reaches 98 points, to heavy mechs — 39 points, and against infantry — 22 points per hit.
It is recommended to use veteran units to control resource points, block flanks, and cover routes. The machine gun's mobility allows for attacking mechs from a safe distance.
Limitations
The main disadvantage is vulnerability to flank and rear attacks, especially from infantry and artillery units. Although frontal armor protects the crew from small arms fire, the machine gun is highly vulnerable to artillery fire and anti-tank guns, which can not only suppress fire but also prevent the unit's retreat.
