SHM-69 «Serp» (ШМ-69 «Серп») — a close combat assault mechanized walker equipped with heavy armor. Belongs to the class of heavy assault mechs designed for aggressive combat at short ranges. It is difficult to stop due to its large durability and thick armor, making it particularly effective against mechs like «Kaiser» or «Wotan».

Development History

The development of «Serp» began in response to the need to create an effective anti-mech weapon. Designers aimed to create a machine capable of countering enemy heavy mechs at close ranges while maintaining high mobility and firepower.

Technical Specifications

The mech is equipped with two powerful metal claws capable of dealing 150 damage to any type of armor. Upon reaching the second veteran level, damage increases to 195 points, making it deadly to machines with low durability. Additional weaponry includes a machine gun for infantry combat.

Combat Application

The primary purpose of the mech is aggressive attacks on enemy vehicles and countering enemy heavy mechs. «Serp» demonstrates impressive mobility for its class, maintaining high movement speed despite its massive armor and heavy claws. «Serp» is capable of effectively eliminating infantry units, destroying several squads with a single strike. The mech is especially effective during flank attacks, where its damage significantly increases.

For effective use, preliminary reconnaissance is necessary to assess the number of potentially dangerous anti-mech units of the enemy. It is recommended to neutralize them before «Serp» approaches the target.

When used correctly, «Serp» can turn the tide of battle, providing a significant advantage on the battlefield. However, maximum effectiveness requires careful action planning and constant coordination with allied forces.

Veteran Upgrades

At the first veteran level, the mech gains the ability to suppress nearby infantry and provide suppression immunity to allied units, which is especially useful when preparing for a decisive assault. At the second level, there is a significant increase in firepower — claw damage increases to 195 points.

Counteractions

Despite its impressive armor and high survivability, the mech requires support from allied forces. The main threats include massive artillery fire and specialized anti-mech units. Direct confrontation with superior enemy forces should also be avoided.
